Grand Island Concrete was founded in 2023 by a crew that had spent years working concrete jobs across central Nebraska and wanted to do things right under their own name. Grand Island made sense as a home base - it sits in the middle of the state, draws homeowners and businesses from Hall County and well beyond, and has a housing stock that keeps concrete contractors busy year-round.
Grand Island winters are hard on concrete. Frost pushes 30 inches deep in a bad year, the clay soils shift with moisture every spring, and freeze-thaw cycles chip away at anything that was poured without proper prep. We built this company knowing those conditions and we account for them on every job - the mix, the base, the control joints, and the sealing recommendations we give every customer before their first winter.
